STEAM Forward in a few words…

STEAM Forward aims at enhancing STEM/STEAM education and career guidance. It will equip educators with modern teaching methods, digital skills, and resources to support students, particularly girls and underrepresented groups, in developing future-ready competencies. Through a MOOC Platform, teacher resources, capacity building, and pilot programs, STEAM Forward will bridge the gap between education and labor market needs, ensuring a lasting impact on STEM/STEAM education and career development.

STEAM Forward sets the following key objectives:

• Igniting a Passion for STEAM – Through interdisciplinary teaching and learning, we will inspire students to explore the interconnectedness of STEAM disciplines, increasing their awareness of career opportunities and future skills needs.

• Empowering Educators as Career Guides – We will train and equip teachers with digital tools, methodologies, and career guidance strategies, ensuring that students receive structured support in navigating STEAM career paths.

• Building a Sustainable Network – We will establish a community of STEAM educators and career professionals to promote best practices, share knowledge, and ensure long-term impact beyond the project’s lifespan.

• Championing Gender Equality in STEAM – We will challenge gender biases by showcasing female role models, mentorship programs, and targeted initiatives to encourage girls’ participation in STEM fields.

Results

STEAM Forward will produce a complete training course and additional resources for teachers to integrate STEAM education into their curriculum.

A dedicated MOOC platform will be developed, containing the training course and a tools repository with interactive learning material.

Capacity building activities will be implemented to empower teachers as STEAM ambassadors.

The project will be disseminated across partners’ countries via national events, a final international conference and a European webinar to share results and promote adoption of the produced material.
